Magnet: 10×2mm
Quantity: 20 magnets
Holes: 20 holes

Note: Each upper/lower shell uses 2 magnets per piece (as designed). Do a quick polarity check before final press-fit.

Beginner friendly

Designed to be forgiving—clean parts, simple steps, and a stable final display.

Modular = easier printing

Separated pieces reduce print risk and help maintain good surface quality.

Magnetic snap assembly

No complicated mechanisms. Align the parts and they “click” into place.

What you need (BOM)

  • Magnets: 10×2mm
  • Total: 20 magnets
  • Holes: 20 holes (1 magnet per hole)

Optional: a tiny amount of glue if your magnets fit loosely.

Assembly tips

  • Do a quick polarity check before pressing the last magnets in.
  • Keep one face consistent (mark one side with a pen).
  • Each upper/lower shell uses 2 magnets per piece (as designed).

This prevents repelling magnets during final snap assembly.

Easy workflow

1) Print

Print the modular parts with your usual PLA settings.

2) Insert magnets

Press-fit 10×2mm magnets into all 20 holes (polarity consistent).

3) Snap together

Align and assemble. Clean look, strong connection, fast build.
